John Anderson

John Wesley “ J.W. “ Anderson, 69 passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born in Noble, Oklahoma on February 18, 1944 to Andes and Pearl (Shaw) Anderson. John was a resident of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. John worked at Eaton Corp. in Shawnee and retired in 2007 after 15 years with the company. John was also a member of the N.R.A. He loved his family, friends and his dog Shorty. John was preceded in death by both parents, Andes “Buck” Anderson and Pearl (Shaw) Anderson, his siblings C.L. Anderson, Bill Tuggle, Pernie Tuggle, Loraine Austin and Alma Reeves Stalling. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Aldena “ Dena “ Anderson of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, along with his four children John W. Anderson II and his wife Cindy of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, James Anderson of Shawnee, Oklahoma Paula Anderson Shadix and her husband Robert of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Chris Anderson of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; and one sister-in-law Bertha Anderson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Kendra Barnhill, Regina Tannehill, Whitnee Hobbs, Robert Fellows, Rowdy Anderson, Richard Baughman, Haley Baughman, Chance Shadix, Natalie Anderson and Tucker Anderson; four great grandchildren Ayden Tannehill, Bronc Hobbs, Anistion Tannehill and Maylee Fellows; five nephews, JC Reeves, JD Reeves, Dewayne Reeves, Bill Jones and Buddy Anderson, nieces Nona Lee Williams, JoDee Jones, Leveta Reeves, Virginia and Kay Reeves, and numerous other family and friends. Funeral arrangements for John are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastor Lonnie Hurst officiating.
