Joe Morgan

Seminole resident, Joe Morgan, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Joe, the son of Jack and Emma JoAn (Cook) Morgan, was born December 27, 1954, in Seminole.  He graduated from Varnum High School, with the class of 1973.  On February 24, 1984, he married Jana Young, in Seminole.  Joe owned and operated Morgan’s Repair Shop, in Seminole for over 50 years.  He was a proud and active member of Lord’s Community Church in Seminole.  He enjoyed working in his shop, tinkering on projects, fishing and going to church, but nothing meant more to Joe than spending time with his family.

He was preceded death by his parents.

Joe is survived by his wife, Jana, of the home; his children, John Morgan, of Seminole, Alisha Johnson, of Seminole, Tommy Oakes of Seminole, and Braxton Smith, of Seminole; two grandchildren, Justice Johnson, and Jocelynn Johnson; and countless friends.

Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Lord’s Community Church, with Jimmie and Nita Moreland officiating.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
