"Joe" Joseph Daniel Bounds

“Our boy was taken from us too early.”  Joseph Daniel Bounds, age 26 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mr. Bounds will be taken to his home located at 35449 EW 1390 Konawa, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25th for viewing.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.  Louis Johnson will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery in Sasakwa.  Pallbearers are Hank Harjo, Brandon Harjo, Patrick Harjo, Brian Harjo, Tommy Harjo, Chris Gomez, Steven Alexander, Eric Coley, and Tommy Smith.  Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Harjo, Dale Harjo, Carl Harjo, David Harjo, Terance Harjo, Ricky John Harjo, Simon Garcia, James Heard, Wyatt Wolf, Hvtvike Deere, and Danny Howell. Joe was born on December 28, 1988 in Ada, Oklahoma to Richard Bounds and Cecelia (Harjo) Howell.  Joe enjoyed going hunting, fishing, “hanging out” with his family, and riding with his brothers and friends.  He was a great guy to be around, and he would always try to be of help whenever possible.  “He loved life, and many hearts are broken.  Our Joe Bounds will always and forever be in our hearts.  He will be missed dearly.” He is survived by his father, Richard Bounds and step-mother, Tooter Bounds of Konawa; mother, Cecelia (Harjo) Howell and step father, Danny Howell of Konawa; one brother, Roman Cosar of Konawa; four sisters, Melanie McClain of Ada, Oklahoma, Karen Bounds of Francis, Oklahoma, Andrea Bounds of Ada, Oklahoma, and Melissa Bounds, also of Ada; one brother-in-law, Jesse Harrison; four uncles, David, Dale, Terry, and Carl Harjo; one aunt, Lahoma Harjo; close cousins, DeAmber Garcia and Simon, Hank and Crystal Harjo, Brandon and Stacey Harjo, Susan and Chris Gomez, Patrick and Lindsey Harjo, Brian Harjo, Rachael Harjo, and Natalie Harjo; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother and grandfather, Pauline Francis and Carlee Lincoln “Jack” Harjo; paternal grandmother and grandfather, Anna and Tom Bounds; great grandparents, George W. Harjo and Cora (Davis) Harjo; and three uncles, Jackie and Jerry Bounds, and Jeffrey Harjo.
