JoAnne Cleary

JoAnne Cleary, 89 year old longtime Saint Louis, Oklahoma resident passed from this life Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her home.  She was born July 14, 1929 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma to Glen Bliss Harris and Jo (Simms) Harris. JoAnne was raised in Saint Louis where her father Rev. Glen Harris, was the pastor of the Assembly of God Church.  She graduated from Saint Louis High School in 1947. On December 5, 1950 JoAnne married Ray Cleary in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. The Lord was first in her life, then her husband and her family and friends.  She loved collected art, loved gospel music and she could sing beautiful. JoAnne and Ray own and operate JoAnne Cleary Oil Company for many years.  She was a charter member of the Peoples Church in Maud, Oklahoma. JoAnne leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 68 years, Ray Cleary of the home; two sons, Gordon Cleary of Maud, Oklahoma, Glen Harris and his wife Sandy of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jodie Berry and her husband Bob of Sacred Heart, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Marla Taylor, Brandon Cleary, Brandy Conrad, Bronk Berry, Janya Impson, Lacey Fletcher and Van Cleary; 20 great-grandchildren a number of nieces, nephews and a host of other family and dear friends. JoAnne is preceded in death by her son, Frank Cleary, her parents Rev. G.B. and Josephine Harris and by two sisters, Bonnie Harris and Glenna Laird. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma with Rev. Roy Robertson and Rev. Butch Bradley officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: (Grandsons) Brandon Cleary, Bronk Berry, Van Cleary, John Taylor, Glen Conrad, Brad Fletcher and Shane Impson. Honorary Bearers will be her great-grandsons.
