Joan Medrieth Totty

Joan Medrieth Totty Longtime Seminole resident Joan M. Totty passed away on August 16, 2009 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 67. She was born on June 21, 1942 in Grubbs, Arkansas to Archie and Nora (Pippenger) Cooper. She was a member of the Harvey Road Baptist Church. She married Elmer Totty on July 21, 1958 in St. Louis, Illinois, he preceded her in death on January 14, 2008, she is also preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories; three daughters and sons-in-law: Rebecca and Mike Leach of Bonanza, Arkansas, Judy and Gary Lane of Seminole, Oklahoma, Joanne and Roger Mills of Seminole, Oklahoma, three sisters; Jane Cooper of Oregon, Helen Moore of Kentucky and Pat Thomas of California, two brothers, Jerry Cooper of Arkansas and Bobby Cooper of California.  She is also survived by six grandchildren; DeAnna Copeland, Traci Bradley, Kimberly Wilson, Wesley Lane, Derrick Ishman and Heath Ishman, four great grandchildren; Colton Copeland, Connor Copeland, Julian Bradley and Garret Ishman.   Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be: Roger Mills, Gary Lane, Mike Leach, Derrick Ishman and Heath Ishman.
