Joan (Teehee) Tebe

April 9, 1954 — December 4, 2016

Joan (Teehee) Tebe, age 62 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7th at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Sasakwa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8th at the church.  Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate, and burial will follow at Tebe Cemetery near Sasakwa.  Casket Bearers are Arthur Tebe, Bradley Tebe, Allan Yahola, Caleb Tebe, Malachi Tebe, Ross Perez, Rueben Perez, Justin Perez, and Lorenzo Perez. Joan was born April 9, 1954 in Oklahoma City to Ross Teehee and Lottie (Marshall) Teehee.  She worked as a seamstress for Jobri Clothing Factory in Konawa.  Joan married Vernon Tebe April 19, 1972 in Oklahoma City, and she was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Konawa.  Joan enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music, and going fishing. She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Vernon Tebe of the home; two sons, Steven Tebe and Jacob Tebe, both of Konawa; one brother, Chabon Teehee of Seminole; two sisters, Shirley Perez and Betty Friday, both of Seminole; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Lottie Teehee, and two sons, Ross and Terry. Funeral Information: December 8, 2016, 2:00 PM Wake Service 7:00 p.m Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Rock Springs Baptist Church of Sasakwa, and Funeral Services 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8th at the church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa located at 217 N.
