Jo Jordan

Josephine “Jo” Alice Jordan Jo Jordan passed away on March 2, 2011 east of Saint Louis, Oklahoma at the age of 78. She was born on April 27, 1932 in Maud, Oklahoma to Marion Elouise Hatmaker and Bessie Ann (Slape) Hatmaker.   She married Bill “Big Bill” Jordan on April 29, 1950 in Gainsville, Texas they were married for 47 years.  He preceded her in death on December 19, 1996.   Jo worked as a beauty operator and had her on shop in Maud “Jo’s Beauty Shop” for 15 years. Later she and her husband “Big Bill” owned and operated K-B Tank Truck Service in Saint Louis and were partners in Jordan and Jordan Oil Company.   She attended Maud and St. Louis and Dripping Springs School Systems.   One son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Kelly Jordan of Saint Louis, survive her; as well as one sister Aline Jordan of Poteau, Oklahoma; she is also survived by grandchildren, Lucrecia and her husband Stacy Ragan, Dawnya and Steve Reese, William Patrick “Little Billy” Jordan, Butch Taylor, Paul and his wife Tara Jordan; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eva Jordan of Saint Louis, Oklahoma and Hope Hatmaker of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Dale and Dorothy Williams of Maud, Oklahoma, and brother-in-law, Eston and his wife Ann Jordan of Hugo, Oklahoma.  She is preceded in death by her husband, “Big Bill” Jordan (12-19-1996); one son, Terry Jordan (1-24-98), brothers; Pete Hatmaker and James Hatmaker; brother-in-law, Ray Jordan; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Edith and Newt Splawn and Speck and Neoma Hampton. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Collins Cemetery with Glenn Dale Williams officiating.
