J. O. Chilcoat passed away on July 15, 2007 at his home in Harrah, Oklahoma at the age of 72.rnrnHe was born on January 29, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Ocie Lee and Grave Irene (Isbell) Chilcoat.rnrnJ.O. married Bettie Lou (Brasher) in Ada, Oklahoma on November 9, 1957. rnrnHe worked for Atlantic Richfield for many years as a meter chart technician he retired in 1985.rnrnHe served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class from 1954 to 1956 and was a member of the American Legion.rnrnHe is survived by his wife of the home, Bettie Lou Chilcoat and daughter and son-in-law: Gail and Kent Jones of Harrah, Oklahoma. He is also survived by three brothers: Bill and Jean Chilcoat of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Bob Chilcoat of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Larry and Ida Chilcoat of Sulphur, Oklahoma, two grandchildren: Matthew Tyler Grimes and Brad Lee Jones. rnrnGraveside services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Little Cemetery with Lloyd Friggle officiating. rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, 100 W.
