Jimmy Dale Kean

September 14, 1943 — January 28, 2016

Jimmy Dale Kean, 72 year old Seminole County resident, passed from this life on January 28, 2016 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born September 14, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Albert Forest Kean and Cora (Edney) Kean. Following High School Jimmy enlisted in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany, Thailand, and Vietnam.  During his service he earned the rank of Sergeant, Jimmy also earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Jimmy went on to own and operate, “Kean’s Trucking” for several years.  On July 10, 2012 Jimmy married Rosa (Uhl) Kean in Las Vegas, Nevada. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Kean of the home; two sons, Eric Kean and his wife Sherry of Missouri, Ricky Kean of Ada, Oklahoma; two daughters, Linda Martin and her husband, Steve of Phoenix, Arizona, Regina Zanis of Jensen Beach, Florida; five brothers, Eldon Kean and his wife, Betty of Seminole, Oklahoma, Melvin Kean and his wife, Cathy of Aurora, Missouri, Carroll Don Kean and his wife Barbara of Aurora, Missouri, Lonnie Kean and his wife, Kim of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jerry Kean of Arkansas; four sisters, Dora Jacks of Moore, Oklahoma, Glenda Roland and her husband, Bob of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Sue LeMaster of Seminole, Oklahoma, Barbara Kean of Sulphur, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Cora Kean, by one step-daughter, Linda Zeien, and by one brother, Kenneth Kean. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with Military Honors.  Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
