Jimmy Wallace Hill

Jimmy Wallace Hill went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2023 in Holdenville at the age of 69.  Jimmy was born on September 7, 1953 to James and Seporia Hill in Lima, Oklahoma.  He was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church in Lima, Oklahoma.  He attended grade school at Lima Elementary and New Lima High School.  Jimmy enjoyed playing basketball with his fellow classmates.  They were successful winning many games.  He enlisted in the United States Army and served a tour in Germany.  He received an honorable discharge in 1979.  He moved to San Antonio, Texas and went to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs, retiring after 27 years.  Afterward he went to work for Northwest Independent School District as a bus driver.  He enjoyed mentoring children.  Jimmy loved cars and restored an older model Chevrolet Monte Carlo and entered it in car shows.  He also loved to dress well and took pride in never leaving the house unless he was well put together.  He loved his favorite football teams and would wear their memorabilia just about every day.  He moved back to Lima, Oklahoma in 2019 and later bought a home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.  He joined St. Stephens Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher until his health began to fail.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories 1 brother, 1 sister from the area, 4 sisters from Kansas City, Missouri, nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.

Jimmy’s funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at New Life Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Viewing will begin Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He will be laid to rest at Lima Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
