Jimmie Pearl (Smith) Pritchard, 89 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life Sunday, March 10, 2019 at her home in Seminole. She was born June 23, 1929 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to parents James Thadeus Smith and Edna (Wallis) Smith. Jimmie married Ronald L. Pritchard in her senior year at Carnegie High School, December 22, 1946 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Jimmie worked as a bookkeeper for many years for her husband’s landscaping business, then Bank of Marin in California and later she and her husband owned and operated the family farm “The Broken Spur Ranch” in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Jimmie was also a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jimmie was a member of Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jimmie enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, cake decorating and listening to music. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Jimmie leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons, Rick Pritchard and his wife Dianne of Kilgore, Texas, Randy Pritchard of Seminole, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Jeanie Silva and her husband Randy of North Carolina, Shelly Stevahn and her husband Mike of Seminole, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents James and Edna Smith, by her husband of 67 years, Ronald L. Pritchard who died April 18, 2014 and by one great-granddaughter Kerrigan Petty. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Harvey Road Baptist Church located at 1620 N. Harvey Road in Seminole, Oklahoma. Rev. Carl Whitfield, Dr. Wade Robertson and Rev. Russell Vicars will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
