Jimmie Lee Pauley, Sr. a Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. Jimmie was born May 24, 1940 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to parents Robert Mathew and Hannah Fern (Yeager) Pauley. Mr. Pauley served in the United States Army as a sharpshooter earning the rank of PFC (E-3), he was a member of the American Legion of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, active in Seminole Senior Citizen Center and enjoyed playing his guitar at church and the nursing homes. Jimmie retired as a truck driver. Jimmie married Visa (Floyd) Goss on October 2, 2004 at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She survives him of the home. He is also by his children from his marriage with Marcialene Barnard Pauley Jones, son; Jimmie Pauley, Jr. and his wife Carol of Shamrock, Oklahoma, daughter; Peggy Linderman and her husband James of Cushing, Oklahoma, also survived by grandchildren; Jonathon and Joshua Pauley of Cushing, Oklahoma and one great grandchild, several step-children and step-grandchildren and sister Bobbie Evelyn Rumbo of Seminole, Oklahoma. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents and second wife Juanita (Burris) Pauley. Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jess Powers officiating. Memorial donations to the Oklahoma Medical Research or the Alzheimer’s Foundation may be made in honor of Jimmie.
