Jimmie Starr Johnson, 79 year old, longtime Harrah, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at his home in Harrah.  He was born on January 19, 1936 in Little River, Oklahoma in Cleveland County to parents Theodore Starr and Mary Mattie Johnson. Jimmie served in the United States Marine Corps where he earned the National Defense Medal.  Following his service to our country, he worked for the Creek Nation of Oklahoma from where he retired in 1998. Jimmie was very involved with the Seminole Nation Honor Guard where he served for many years.  He was also a member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma. Survivors include two sons, Robert Sacredhorsesghost and his wife Ruthie of Colgate, Oklahoma, David Wayne Johnson and his wife Sharon of Del City, Oklahoma; one sister, Shirley Sloat of Harrah, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, David Johnson, Darrell Johnson, Lori Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Eric Bond Jr.; 5 step-grandchildren, Maurice Bond, Timothy Bond, Sylvia Crawford, Brandon Bond, Eric Bond Sr.; nieces, Amanda Jackson, Cheyenne Jackson, Mary-Ann Jackson; one nephew, Jimmy Don Sloat; and a host of other family and dear friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Foley who died July 14, 2012; by his parents; by one daughter, Helen Marie Johnson; by one sister, Wynona Sloat; by two brothers, Hardin Sloat and Donald Sloat. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2015 at Horseshoe Bend (near Garrett’s Lake Road, Shawnee, OK) with Thomas Hulbutta officiating the service.  Interment will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery with Military Honors being provided by the Seminole Nation Honor Guard.
