Jewell "Dean" (Hudson) Harrison

Jewell “Dean” (Hudson) Harrison, age 89 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at her home Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Jeff Brock and Terry Brock will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Kevin Townley, Darren Townley, Terry Bowles, Larry Harrison, and Jerry Townley.  Gordon Brewer will serve as an honorary bearer. Dean was born August 20, 1930 in Dora, Oklahoma to Roy Hudson, and Effie Virginia (Mosley) Hudson.  In her younger days, she was an active church worker and Sunday school teacher.  She was a Falls Creek sponsor, WMU, Bible School teacher, and an avid Bible reader.  She also worked as a hairdresser and a seamstress.         She is survived by one son, Larry Kennith Harrison and wife, Tina of Stratford, Oklahoma; three daughters, Ella Jean Brewer and husband, Roger of Konawa, Teresa Dean Townley and husband, Jerry of Purcell, Oklahoma, and Lisa Harrison of Konawa; two brothers, Art Hudson and wife, Harriett of Konawa, and Arlie Hudson of Konawa; two sisters, Norma Brock of Bethel, Oklahoma, and Leota Wilson and husband, Milburn of Ada, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie “Kennith” Harrison; her parents, Roy and Effie Hudson; two children, Lyndall Eudon and Kaye Lewis; two sisters, Evelyn and Bonita; and two brothers, Ray and Jimmy Don.
