Jessie Doolen Ward, 83, longtime Sasakwa resident died, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her home. Jessie was born July 23, 1928 in Sasakwa to Troy and Sarah (Walton) Doolen. Jessie was a Cattle Rancher for most of her life; she also worked as a health care provider. She attended schools in Rocky Point near Sasakwa and Sasakwa Public Schools. She had attended Friendship Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother. She loved to go dancing and ride horses, but her passion was raising cattle. One son Rocky Doolen Ward of Lexington, Oklahoma, One brother Harrison Doolen of Ada, Oklahoma, two sisters Fern King and Ann Houston of Konawa, Oklahoma, survives Jessie. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brandy White and her husband John of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Jamie Ward of Ada, Oklahoma, Stoney Ward of Stringtown, Oklahoma and Ashly Ward of Ada, Oklahoma, Shannon Ward and his wife MaryAnn of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Rachel Ward of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rebecca Benham and her husband Jay of Paden, Oklahoma, Karla Ward and Tyler Ward both of Holdenville, Oklahoma, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Johnnie Collinsworth and a son Troy Ward on October 5, 2011. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma with burial at Vamoosa Cemetery. Ed George will officiate at the funeral. Casket bearers will be Shannon Ward, Bob Doolen, Jon King, Byron King, Wacey Henderson and John White. Honorary Bearers will be Deven Mills, Jaxon Smith, Gentry Ward, Trenton Doolen East, Jonathon White and Tagus Ledgerwood.
