Jessie Conger

Jessie Floyd Conger, 77 year-old life long Seminole resident passed from this life on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Unity North Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He was born October 19, 1932 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Jess Conger and Dora June (Kersey) Conger. Jessie had worked in the oilfield most of his life for several oil companies where he was a tool-pusher and retired in 2008 from Saber Industries in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Rhonda Lay of Seminole, Oklahoma and Scottie and Dorcel Conger of Ada, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Shawn Osborne of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Amy and Brian Dye of Wewoka, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Lena and Judd Sawyer of Wewoka, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends. Jessie is preceded in death by his first wife Juanita Conger on May 4, 1985 and by his second wife, Alice Conger on February 10, 2007; two sons, Delbert Lay and Jamie Conger; one daughter, Yvonne Woods; two brothers Jack Conger and Thurman Conger. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service.
