Jesse Doolen

Jesse "Bucky" Doolen, age 58, of Oklahoma City, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born on August 12, 1948 in Wewoka, OK to Jesse & Georgia Lenora (Ward) Doolen. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a heavy equipment truck driver in the oilfield. rnHe is survived by his mother, Georgia Lenora (Ward) Doolen of Oklahoma City; one son, Jesse Dwayne Doolen of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Bernice Reeves of Oklahoma City and Sonia Harrington of Choctaw; one brother, Henry "Pete" Peters of Newcastle; one sister, Shelia McKeel of Tuttle; loving friend, Peggy Smith of Choctaw; two grandchildren, Michalda & Nicole Harrington; six nephews and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Doolen. rnGraveside services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Vamoosa Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Ross, officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Henry "Pete" Peters, Rob Doolen, Billy Dean Davis, Eugene Ward, Sonny Ward, Jerry Smith, Chuck Lancaster and Danny Lee Stafford. rnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
