Jerry Smith

Jerry Lee Smith, 70 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his home in Seminole.  He was born January 7, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico to parents Willard Lee Smith and Goldie Gladys (Pierce) Smith. Jerry served in the United States Army where he had earned an E-4 rank. On November 18, 1967 Jerry married Betty Edwina Lott in Roswell, New Mexico. Jerry was of the Baptist faith.  He also enjoyed hunting and watching western movies. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty E. Smith of the home; one son, Thomas W. Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma; two daughters, Mary E. Halpain of Geary, Oklahoma, Susan L. Godwin of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one brother, David L. Smith of Henryetta, Oklahoma, one sister, Kathy A. Dobson of Henryetta, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Rebecca Richards, one brother, one sister, both sets of grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
