Jerry Wayne Scott

Jerry Wayne Scott, 54, life long Seminole resident died Monday, October 18, 2010 at his home in Seminole. Jerry Wayne was born February 18, 1957 in Seminole to Jerry Garl and Margaret Ann (Mason) Scott. Jerry Wayne attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1974. Jerry Wayne was a Member of the First United Methodist Church in Seminole,Oklahoma. Jerry Wayne married Susan Cherry on May 18, 1990 in Seminole. His Wife, Susan Cherry Scott of the home, one son Jerry Garl Scott and a daughter Elizabeth Ann Scott survive him. His Father Jerry Garl Scott and his wife Rita of Shawnee, Oklahoma and his Mother Margaret Scott of Seminole, Oklahoma, also survive him. Jerry Wayne was also survived by his aunts, Linda Novotny Barnes, June Hume, Melba Gibbs and Betty Brinsfield. His uncles Bill Scott and his wife Romana. His father- and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Jane Cherry. Other family members include a step-sister Aunnie Meyers, brothers-in-law Jeff Cherry, Ken Cherry and Chuck Cherry and several nieces and cousins. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Tate and Gordon Melson officiating. Private burial services will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.
