Jerry Rowland

Jerry Daniel Rowland, 70 year-old, lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  He was born December 13, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Ruby Nell (Morris) Rowland and Fred Luther Rowland. Jerry married Marilyn Sue Moore on July 13, 1962 in Seminole. Jerry worked for many years as an aircraft mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma until his retirement in 1987. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Sue (Moore) Rowland; one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Jay Nelson of Maud, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Marissa Holman and Trevor Holman; two great-grandchildren, Kyler Brooks and Kaden Brooks; and a host of other family and dear friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Michael Don Rowland (9-20-2009) and by one sister, Janell Everhart. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Billy Merritt officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers will be: Ronnie Everhart, Jacob Camp, Dakota Anderson, Kerry Brooks, Kris Johnson and Brett Boutwell.
