Jerry Martin Pack, 62, longtime Maud resident died Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Jerry was born November 16, 1948 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Garland and Otis (Darr) Pack. Jerry was a butcher at Safeway for the biggest part of his working career; he also worked at Jerry Scott Drilling, Dollar Saver, Pratt’s and Nichols IGA and Pack’s Feed Seed and Station. Jerry married Robin Palmer on December 30, 1975 in Ada, Oklahoma. Jerry is survived by his wife of 37 years Robin (Palmer) Pack of Maud, Oklahoma, One son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Chelsea Pack of Maud, Oklahoma, two daughters and son-in-law’s Tara Pack and Paul Jordan of Maud, Oklahoma and Cassie and Alan Danielson of Mustang, Oklahoma. Two brothers and sisters-in-law, J.R. and Frieda Pack of Seminole, Oklahoma and Charles and Virginia Pack of Lake Texoma Area in Oklahoma, two sisters and a brother-in-law; Carol and her husband Bob Bland of Maud, Oklahoma and Linda Clements of Seminole, Oklahoma, also survive Jerry.  Five grandchildren Macey and Maddy Jordan, Jaycee Pack and Lana and Ella Danielson also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Troy, Hubert, Hershal and Harold Pack. Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with burial at Wolf Cemetery. Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate at the services. Casket bearers will be Travis Palmer, Terry Palmer, Mike Jackson, Bobby Bassett, Alan Bassett, Paul Jordan and Alan Danielson. Honorary bearers will be J.R. Pack, Charles Pack, Steve Robertson, Gene Pack and Tim Darr. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the family in care of Robin Pack at the Bank N.A. in Maud, Oklahoma.
