Jerry Medlock

Jerry Wayne Medlock Former longtime Seminole resident Jerry Wayne Medlock passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 in Healdton, Oklahoma at the age of 65. He was born on September 8, 1944 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Woodrow Wilson and Dovie Dolly (Reece) Medlock.  He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School west of Seminole, he loved horses, hunting and enjoyed play day activities he also loved the lake and fishing.  He enjoyed his kids and grandkids they were very special to him.  He served in the Oklahoma National Guard from 1964-1969. He was a former member of a motorcycle club. He worked for Koch Oil Company and Bigheart Oil Company and later worked for Wilburn Trucking Company in Shawnee where he retired. He was married to Linda Yarbrough of Earlsboro and was the mother of his 3 children that they raised together.  He leaves to cherish his memories a special friend and companion, Virginia Martin of Healdton, Oklahoma, two sons and a daughter-in-law: Daniel and Roxanne Douglas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Michael Wayne Medlock of Earlsboro, daughter, Jerri Lynn White of Earlsboro, two brothers and sisters-in-law:  Jack and Colleen Medlock of Seminole and Gary and Sally Medlock of Wewoka, three sisters and a brother-in-law: Elena Silas of Seminole, Vonda and Bill Culbertson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Robin Hall of Edmond.  He is also survived by five grandchildren; Chance Medlock, Emily White, Terry White, Melissa Douglas, Christian Wolfe-Medlock and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Dovie Medlock and one grandson, Josiah White.  Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev.
