Jerry Lee McClellan

Jerry Lee McClellan, 81, of Okemah, OK. passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home. Jerry was born in Pryor, OK. on October 26, 1936, to Clyde McClellan and Katherine (Pitts) McClellan.  Jerry was a retiree of AT&T, where he worked for 37 years. Jerry enjoyed watching O.U. Football, going to auctions, and spending time with family. Jerry attended church at Highway Baptist church in Seminole, OK, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Jerry served his country in the United States Army, and was discharged in 1962. Jerry married Betty (Kaiser) McClellan, on April 12, 1958 in Shelly, Pennsylvania.  Jerry is survived by his wife, Betty McClellan of the home; son, Steven McClellan of the home; daughter, Jeannine and husband James Turner of Okemah OK; grand-daughters, Rebecca of Okemah OK, Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Sherri and husband, Mario Martinez of Moore, OK; great grand-daughter, Roxie Martinez; great grand-son; Kennedy Martinez; and many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Katherine McClellan; sister, Gail Russell; son, Kenneth McClellan; son-in-law, Bruce Greenwood. Jerry will be greatly missed by family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Highway Baptist Church, north of Seminole, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, with Military Honors. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
