Jerry Don Bounds

Jerry Don Bounds, age 62 and a life-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 29,2014 at Integris Medical Center in Seminole, Oklahoma. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Phillip Bentley will officiate.  Pallbearers are Joe Morgan, Shane Impson, Frank Kelly, Steven Sellars, James Heard, and David Green, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers are Shawn Roberts and Calvin Harjo.   Jerry was born in Konawa on October 16, 1952 to Tom Loye Bounds and Barbara Anna (Wheeler) Bounds.  He graduated from Konawa High School and married Rosalie Rains on April 26, 1979 in Konawa.  He was an oilfield pumper and a very hard worker who loved to spend time with his family.   He is survived by three sons, Jeremy Bounds of Konawa, Jonathon Bounds, also of Konawa, and Raymond Howard of Shawnee, Oklahoma; two daughters, Sherry Bentley of Texas, Ladonna Howard of Konawa; four brothers, Richard Bounds of Konawa, Glen Dale Bounds of Konawa, Jimmy Bounds of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Clifford “Butch” Bounds of Perry, Oklahoma; six sisters, Lucille Dotson of Oklahoma City, Wanda Bryce of Konawa, Ronda Fortelney of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma, Mary Miner of Virginia, Brenda Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Carylon Hughes of Pauls Valley Oklahoma; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Barbara Bounds; his wife, Rosalie Bounds on February 24, 2012; one sister, Phyliss Ward; and one step-son.
