Jerald Duane “Jerry” Renner, Sr., rural Wewoka, Oklahoma resident, died and went to be with his Lord, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Jerry was born on August 8, 1941 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, Theodore Addison Renner and Ulva Rae “Sue” (Eldredge) Renner. Jerry joined the U. S. Army in 1959 and served his country for 20 years and retired as an E7. He served his country proudly in Korea, Colorado, Virginia and at the Pentagon as a computer programmer and analyst. He was honored to be chosen to be a guard at the “Tomb of the Unknown Solider at Arlington National Cemetery, during his time in the service. After retirement from the U.S. Army, he owned and operated Renner Electric and worked at Goff Corporation as a Quality Control Manager and finally retired in 2008. Jerry married the love of his life, Arlene Fay Amos on March 14, 1964, at the Bowlegs First Baptist Church, five years after joining the Army. They built a wonderful life and home together, and they were known for their matching outfits and never leaving each other’s side. Jerry loved the Lord, loved his family, and loved his country, and served it proudly. He lived his life as a great example to his children, grandchildren and to all who were blessed enough to be a part of his life. He also had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a constant comedian and prankster. Besides his faith and his family, he was passionate about life, the Texas Rangers baseball team, photography (family and nature), and drawing with Sharpies. He was active member of the Harvey Road Baptist Church for many years. Jerry is survived by his wife, Arlene Renner of Wewoka, Oklahoma, his children, Jerry Renner, Jr. and his wife, Lani of Seminole, Oklahoma, Terri Neal and her husband, Charles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Traci Renner of Wewoka, Oklahoma; sibling; Pat Renner of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, Norma Kiker and her husband, Stan Kiker of Wolf, Oklahoma and eleven grandchildren; Cheyanne and Sahara Renner, Amber Davis and her husband, Bryan, Jerod Lofton and his wife, Ryne, Andrew Lofton, and Jonathon Renner, Kaley Presgrove and her husband, Peyton, Ryan Neal, Shelbi Lofton, Skylar Billie and her husband, Zac and Tia Lambeth and her husband, Brandon, as well as twelve great grandchildren. Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Harvey Road Baptist Church with full military honors from the U.S. Army. Rev.
