Jerald R. Carney, 63, longtime Seminole resident died, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Holdenville, Oklahoma. Jerald was born March 25, 1951 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Carrie Mae (Stallaby) and Pete Folsom Carney. Jerald worked as a fork lift operator and in maintenance, at Wrangler for many years, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Indian Nation Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma and loved watching Seminole Chieftain Football and other sports and spending time with his family. Jerald is survived by three sons; Doug Carney at Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Peter Carney and his wife Tina of Killeen, Texas and Melvin Carney of Eagletown, Oklahoma, two daughters RaJohnia John and her husband DeWayne of Wright City, Oklahoma and Pamela Carney of Eagletown, Oklahoma, one brother George Carney of Seminole, Oklahoma and one sister Yolanda Ross of Prague, Oklahoma and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Jerald Carney, Jr. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 P.M., Friday March 6, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors. Rev. Bill Barnett and Lewis Johnson will officiate at the service and burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Casket bearers will be Melvin Carney, James Carney, Doug Carney, Michael Maben, Pete Carney and Dewayne John: Honorary bearers will be RaJohnia John and Pamela Carney.
