Shawnee resident, Jennie Lee Factor, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, in Shawnee.
Jennie, the daughter of Edward Lee and Lucy Mae (Harjo) Harjo, was born February 27, 1959, in Talihina, Oklahoma. She grew up in Wewoka and graduated from Wewoka High School with the class of 1977. Jennie proudly served in the US Army. On June 19, 1992, she married Jimmy Factor, Jr., in Shawnee. Jennie enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, watching the Dallas Cowboys, watching her niece, Cheyenne Factor play OSU softball, and sitting outside soaking up all the sunshine. She was a former member of the Seminole Nation Honor Guard. She also received honorary veteran at the 2023, Seminole Nation Days. Jennie served in the Oklahoma National Guard for 7 years, the 45th. Jennie had the super power to love all of her children and grandkids unconditionally. She knew the true meaning of unconditioned love and passed that onto her daughters.
She was preceded in death by her adopted mother, Joammie Harrison; sister, Marilee Jones, and Rhonda Harjo; a brother, Curtis Harjo; her father, Edward Lee Harjo; and a son, Patrick Factor.
Jennie is survived by her husband, Timmy Ray Factor, Jr.; her mother, Lucy Mae Harjo; daughters and son-in-law, Jillian Kearns, of Lawton, Holly Factor, of Lawton, and Susie and Chance Acklin, of Meeker; eight grandchildren, Anthony and Abbigail, Keaton and Brighton, Cynzlee and Graisyn, and Dakota and Adrian; two great grandchildren; brothers, Eddie Harjo, of Wewoka, and Russell Harjo, of Wewoka; sisters, Janalyn Harjo, of Wewoka, Patty Carrasco, of Kansas, and Dana Harjo, of Wewoka; and several family members and friends.
Casket bearers will be the Seminole Nation Honor Guard,
A wake service will be Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. ~ 7:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Services will be Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Skip Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
