Jeffrey Keith “Cufe” Harjo was born on April 13, 1963 and entered eternal life on October 26, 2024. He passed with his loved ones by his side. He was the son of the late Roly Harjo and Beatrice Sarkechee Harjo. He was a resident of Shawnee and a former resident of Seminole. He was blessed with a son, Daniel who he called “Son Man” and a daughter, Laqueta who he called “Quetus”. He said “Mom told him that family is everything and all we have is family and Dad taught me how to be there for family when I didn’t have anything. He was baptized by Uncle Red at Little River Church. Jeff was a starter for Varnum High School basketball & baseball and played independent basketball. He enjoyed playing fastpitch softball. He played outfield with the Country Warriors. When the Warriors were playing you could hear him, Jr and Ping hollering Warriors. Jr gave him the name 10 Man. Jr Little and Ricky “Bum” Barnoski became his brothers. Then he went on to start his team Just Us. He was an avid OU fan. Jeff and Jr were the loudest when OU and Country Warriors were playing. He was a jack of all trades. He was always willing to help people whether it was to work on a car, plumbing, mowing grass, helping Jonas erect a tepee, or cooking for the brothers. Jeff enjoyed family dinners & cookouts and spending time with family. He liked to laugh and hang out with his friends. More than anything he loved his son, daughter, and grandchildren. He enjoyed the calls & visits from Daniel, Lisa & Ashyah and was proud of Aiyana who was in Reservation Dogs. He cherished the time that Laqueta spent taking care of him. He would tear up when he talked about them.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Harjo (brother), Gwendolyn (Pinky) Factor (sister), Jr Little (brother), Joe Johnson and Michael Messer (brothers-in-law), Monica Barraza (niece), Rueben Barraza and Omar Barraza (nephews), and Wayne Pebworth (friend).
