Jeffery Dean Fixico, 57, Wewoka, Oklahoma resident, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Jeffery was born February 23, 1960 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Joe Fixico and Annie (Harjo) Fixico. Jeffery grew up in the Seminole area attending Pleasant Grove High School, west of Seminole and graduated in 1978, where he played basketball and baseball. He later attended the University of Oklahoma, school of photography for 2 years. He was currently employed by the Seminole Nation Maintenance Department. He also was MEKKO of VCENV HVTCE TULSA Ceremonial Town. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball, OU sports, Thunder Basketball, family get-togethers and always encouraged the family to stay together and appreciate what they have. Jeffery is survived by his two sons, Joe and Kendra Fixico of Prague, Oklahoma and Samson Fixico of Tecumseh, one daughter Sheena Fixico of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother Tony Fixico of Seminole, Oklahoma, six sisters; Nancy and Eugene Lowe of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Imogene and Kenny Drapeau of Ada, Oklahoma, Jenny Fixico, Madeline and Leo Tiger, Betty Fixico and Tracy and Tim Rogers all of Seminole, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Lantz, Joe, Sadie, Genesis, Faith and Kristan. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Annie Fixico, grandma Jowina Reed, nephew Garrett Drapeau, and niece Marissa Tiger. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Mekusukey Mission Gymnasium in Seminole, with Frank Moppin and Leon Bell officiating. Burial will take place at the Harjo Family Cemetery, west of Mekusukey Mission. Wake services will be held at the Mekusukey Mission Gym, Friday Night, January 19, 2018, starting at 7:00 P.M. Casket bearers will be Leo Tiger, Jr., Randall Lowe, Timmy Rogers, Jeremy Drapeau, Dylan Fixico, Devan Fixico, Lantz Fixico, Joe Fixico and Lonnie Drapeau. Honorary bearers will be Larry Riley, Seminole Nation Maintenance coworkers, and the New Tulsa Warriors. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
