Jeannine Mary (Gerhardt) Iles

Jeannine Mary Iles, Seminole resident, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in Seminole, at the age of 72.  Jeannine was born on September 3, 1949 in St. Albans, New York, to Conrad John and Rosalie Ann (Gentile) Gerhardt.  Her dad was military so she moved a lot and lived in California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Oklahoma.

Jeannine was very involved with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, and church activities, when her children were young.  She was secretary of the Heritage House Senior Center and she attended all school and sports activities of her grandchildren and great grandsons.  Jeannine collected raccoons and ladybugs.  She was active with “Where’s George”.  She also loved to travel, especially cruising, and has been to most of the states.

Jeannine is survived by her son, Mike Iles and wife, Chrissy, of Broken Arrow; daughter, Joanna Harrison and husband, Johnny, of Seminole; sister, Pat Thompson and husband, Ken, of Minden, Nevada; four grandchildren, Kylee, Jacob, Joey and Justin; five great grandchildren, Kaiden, Devynn, Sophia, Jaci and Camdyn and many other family and friends.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Bill Brown who raised her since she was 13; two brothers, Chuck and Scott and her sister, Melody.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 21, 2022 at the Seminole Community Building.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
