Jeanne Sanders

Jeanne Sanders, 87, lifelong Wetumka, Oklahoma resident, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Alliance Health Hospital, Seminole, Oklahoma. Jeanne was born on December 7, 1927 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to William “Bill” Smith and Bertha (Seals) Smith.   Jeanne was a nurse at Wetumka General Hospital for 30 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wetumka. Jeanne was a loving mother and grandmother and led a selfless life. She loved quilting, sewing, growing plants, and texting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.   Jeanne married Carl Sanders on January 25, 1947 in Wetumka, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1987.   Jeanne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Gail Sanders of Wetumka, Oklahoma and her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Rick Summy of Wetumka, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Mike Sanders, Kimberly Sanders Clayton, Erica Summy Dean, Shawn Summy and Kasey Sanders Choate; six great grandchildren Kailey Sanders, Samantha Clayton, Kelsie Sanders, Alli Clayton, Carson Dean and Jensen Dean.   She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her husband.   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church in Wetumka, Oklahoma with Pastor Curt Bellinger officiating at the services. Burial will follow at the Wetumka City Cemetery.   Casket bearers will be; Mike Sanders, Shawn Summy, Carson Dean, Jeremy Clayton, Tiger Dean and Kendall Choate.   Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
