JEAN HUMPHREYS Dwalia Norma Jean Rowe Humphreys of Fort Worth, Texas walked on January 15 following a long illness. She was born December 31, 1933, the last of five siblings to Lucille and Raudy Rowe of Seminole, Oklahoma. Her primary career was that of a loving mother, followed by a long selfless career as psychologist counseling and protecting neglected and abused children in Texas and California. She is survived by remaining siblings Ted, Eldine and Clois, her children Don Mark, Jahn and Laura, grandchildren Don Mark, Jr., Amy, Crystal, Jeremy and Anna and seven great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Little Cemetery in Little, Oklahoma near her beloved sister Colleen and parents Raudy and Lucille. A very compassionate woman spent her life caring for and helping others, in her career as a child psychologist and at home too. She loved nature and all living things: people, plants, and animals. One such example; she refused to get a tree house repaired for granddaughter, Anna for fear it may hurt the tree and instead ordered it to be removed. She was also feisty, warm, determined, intelligent, beautiful, and unpretentious. She was an avid reader, loved Sherlock Holmes and watching basketball and ice skating. Services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral Information: January 19, 2010, 10:00 AM Little Cemetery located at Highway 99 North, Seminole, OK 74868
