J.C. Frost

J.C. Frost, 87 year old longtime Seminole resident, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Edmond, Oklahoma.  He was born April 23, 1928 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents, John Frost and Arizona (Davis) Frost. J.C. graduated from Varnum High School in 1946.  He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps.  J.C. served during the Korean War earning a National Defense Medal and the rank of Corporal.  Following his active service he served in the United States Marine Corps. Reserve where he earned the rank of Sergeant and received an Honorable Discharge in March of 1960 after 10 years of service to our Country. J.C. Married Mildred Enslow on June 24, 1949 in Seminole, Oklahoma. J.C. retired from Dowell, “a division of Dow Chemical” in Seminole, Oklahoma after 30 years.  He also attended the Church of Christ in Cromwell, Oklahoma. Survivors include one daughter, Kathy (Frost) Kenneda and her husband Wyly Kenneda of Edmond, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Kyle Dean Kenneda of Edmond, Oklahoma and Wyly Kenneda, Jr. of Moore, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, John and Arizona (Davis) Frost; by his wife of 49 years, Mildred (Enslow) Frost who died on July 17, 1998; by one sister, Lula Frost; and by one brother, Robert Frost. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Edmond Health and Humanity Hospice for the excellent care. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Little Cemetery Chapel located at Little Cemetery (North of Seminole on Hwy. 99) where he will be laid to rest next to his wife.  Chris Stinnett will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
