Jay Dee McCarley, 57 year old former Seminole resident and current Bethel Acres resident passed from this life on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his home. He was born November 26, 1957 in Odessa, Texas to parents Jimmy Dan “J.D.” McCarley and Joyce Nell (Cantrell) McCarley. Jay Dee graduated from High School in Conway, Arkansas and later moved to Virginia where he began his service in the United States Navy. Following his military service he moved to Seminole, Oklahoma where he worked for B.J. Hughes as a truck driver and then for Kerr-McGee, laying pipe. Jay Dee was a diehard Dallas and OU fan, and loved the outdoors. He also loved coaching little league football. He volunteered as a coach in both Seminole and Bethel, Oklahoma. He was of the Christian faith. Survivors include two sons, Jason McCarley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Hunter McCarley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Megan “Meg” and Eric Giddens of Bethel Acres, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Brooklyn Giddens, Jayden Giddens, Emma McCarley, Jackson McCarley, and Noah Buford; Jay Dee is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Jay Dee is preceded in death by his parents, “J.D.” and Joyce McCarley; and the loves of his life, his former wives, and mothers of his children, Charlene Linda Wright McCarley and Claire Britton Branson. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.
