Javonah Sue Evans, 72, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at her home in Seminole. She was born November 12, 1938 in Seminole to Alvin D. and Vivianna (Hudson) Wallace. Javonah retired as office manager for Lillian Russell Custom Size in Wewoka, Oklahoma after 20 years with the company. She also worked for many years at Dresser Atlas Oilfield Company in Seminole. Javonah attended and graduated from Bowlegs Public Schools. She was a longtime faithful member of the Trinity Baptist Church in the Letha Community south of Seminole. Her family and her church family meant everything to her. She loved going to church on Sundays even when she did not feel up to going. Javonah loved to read and shop; shopping was her passion and she loved to go to the mall and shop at Dillard’s Department Store. She was a proud “Breast Cancer Survivor “ for over 20 years. Her husband Charley N. Evans of the home survives her; they were married April 20, 1957 in Seminole. Two sons Dennis and his wife Pam Evans of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Steve Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and her daughter Karla Evans of Seminole, Oklahoma, also survive her. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Donna Wallace and Neil and Sue Wallace all of Seminole, and a sister and brother-in-law Lawana and Dewey Lee of Seminole. Two grandchildren, Whitney Evans and Kodi Evans of Eufaula, Oklahoma also survive her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Rev. Ron Duvall officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
