Javelin DeShawn Hartfield

July 12, 1994 — February 18, 2021

Shawnee

Javelin DeShawn Hartfield was born on July 12, 1994 to Shawnna Hartfield and John Burris, Sr.  Javelin was a long time Shawnee Resident.  He passed from this life on February 18, 2021 in Shawnee, OK.

Javelin loved his family, especially his three beautiful daughters.  His mother and his six sisters were his best friends.  Some may say there was no closer bond.  Javelin loved anything outdoors.  He loved to meet up with friends and family to float the river and camp.  He was always about a good time.  Javelin was someone who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need; he had one of the biggest hearts. He loved to make music and being in the studio was like a second home.  He was in the works of making music a permanent part of his life.

Javelin would want to be remembered as a Man of God.  He was baptized at Galilee Baptist Temple of Praise and a long time member under the late Larry C. Crawford of Seminole, OK.  He would go out of his way to make a way.  He always had the biggest smile on his face and in his heart!  In the word of Javelin “Already!”.

Javelin is survived by his parents, Shawnna Hartfield and John Burris, Sr.; three daughters, Aria J. N. Hartfield, Ayva J. N. Hartfield and Alaya J. N. Hartfield; six  brothers John Burris Jr., Jonathan Windows, Arrmon Burris , Zyqurion Burris, Amedee Burris and Miercalise Burris; six sisters, Shawntaviya Hartfield, Shawndra Hartfield, Cynthia Mitchelle, Nicole Bruner, Donetta Burris and Raleta Milon; grandmother, Mattie J. Hartfield and a host of family and friends.

Javelin was preceded in death by his cousin, De’Juan Matthew Shaw Hudson; grandmother, Jeraldine Shaw; uncle, Andre Shaw; cousin, Sherman Mitchell; uncle, Larry Crawford Sr.; aunt, Beverly Depp; cousin, Tony Sharp Jr.; grandmother, Irene Burris; grandfather, Lorenzo Buddy Burris; aunt, Bertha Lee Burris; uncle, Kenneth Crooms; aunt, Patsy Colbert; aunt, Joann Burris; aunt, Marcia Burris and uncle, Bud Burris.
