Jaunita Stafford

Jaunita Marie Stafford’s family said goodbye to a very precious lady on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, just two days before her 85th birthday. She passed away at age 84 at her home in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. Jaunita was born May 18, 1933 in Seminole County, Oklahoma to Roger Clarence Chandler and Cora Frances (McBroom) Chandler. Jaunita was a longtime member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church, Bowlegs,  Oklahoma. Jaunita worked for the Seminole Producer for over 30 years in various capacities. After retirement she spent every moment she could working in her yard, even until the week before her passing. Jaunita married Bart Leon Stafford on December 20, 1952 in Konawa, Oklahoma; he preceded her in death on April 22, 1993. Survivors of this beautiful lady are her son Gary Leon Stafford and his wife Judy of Seminole, Oklahoma, her sister Mary Ann Glenn of Bowlegs, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and other family members that will miss her daily and remember her kindness forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Clarence Chandler and Cora Frances (McBroom) Chandler; her husband, Bart Leon Stafford, her son William Bart Stafford and a sister Virga Frances Chandler. Graveside services are planned for Juanita on her birthday, Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Little Cemetery.
