Jathanna "Tinnie" Wood

Jathanna K. Wood, 49 Jathanna K. Wood, Seminole resident passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 49. Jathanna was born on August 27, 1962 in Clovis, New Mexico to parents Virgil Phillip Wood, Sr. and Mary (Mondragon) Wood. Jathanna was a Seminole High School graduate, homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Jathanna leaves to cherish her memory two daughters and a son-in-law; Clarissa Lynn “Wood” Smith and Calvin Smith and Jamie Marshall both of Tulsa, Oklahoma her father, Virgil Wood, Sr., two brothers; Phillip Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Virgil Wood Jr. of Holdenville, Oklahoma. Also surviving Jathanna is one sister Donna Wood Mason of Shawnee, Oklahoma and seven grandchildren; Wisdon Smith, Dontay Turner, David Turner, Dewayne Smith, Thomas Marshall, Nicholas Martinez and Issabella Marshell. Jathanna was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Wood and her brother Wade Wood on December 20, 2008. Funeral service for Jathanna will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow. Rev. Frank Moppin will officiate.
