Jason Ashley Shannon, 38 years old, was called home Friday July 28, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Jason was born February 11, 1979 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Melodie Newton-McGregor. In 1997 Jason graduated from Seminole High School.  He enjoyed working in the oilfield and most of all driving trucks.  He loved serving the Lord, and spending time with family and friends. Jason is survived by his fiancé, Chelsea Ammons of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; by his father, Hayward McGregor of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sons, Caden Welch of Seminole, Oklahoma, Daegan Chad Angel of Seminole, Oklahoma; two brothers, Anthony Louie and his wife Lureena of Seminole, Oklahoma, Shavar McGregor and his wife Ashley of Seminole, Oklahoma; three nieces, Nevaeh Louie, Zionna and Zorianna McGregor of Seminole, Oklahoma. One nephew, Anthony Louie, Jr. of Seminole, Oklahoma; two uncles, Troy and Alonzo Newton of Seminole, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Melodie Newton-McGregor, by his maternal grandmother, Wilhelmina Newton and by his maternal grandfather, Alphonzo Newton. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Immanuel Fellowship Church located on Hwy. 3 north of Seminole.  Rev. Danny Fisher and Rev. Tim Tate will officiate the service.  Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
