Jason Ray Dorrough, Wewoka resident, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 36. Jason was born on January 14, 1986, in Wewoka Oklahoma to Jacob Ray Dorrough and Charlene (Dobson) Bristow. He grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma
Jason loved to ride motorcycles. He enjoyed sleeping and would always complain about being tired. His dad would often joke around with him and say “boy you haven’t done anything to be tired.” Jason enjoyed working on things around the house. He loved to go fishing. Anytime someone would mention that they were bored or didn’t have plans Jason would say “Well, let’s go fishing dang it. Come on. I’m not playing.” He absolutely loved spending all of his time with his girls and his wife, Melissa. He had a great time pestering his dad. He would often poke him, mess with his hair or steal his food and tell him “Ok dad I'm just playing.” He would also get a kick out of pestering his great nephew Fathead.
The very first time Jason and Melissa met she was going to the nearest convenience store to grab some snacks and asked if Jason wanted to tag along. His reply was “I guess”. The entire ride on the way to the store was silent with not one word spoken. On the way back Melissa spoke up and they both started laughing and could not stop. From then on they have been together for 14 years. Both Jason and Melissa would tease each other and say “You’re stuck with me for life.” Never the less, good or bad, Jason and Melissa loved each other. He also loved his daughters unconditionally and would do anything for them.
Jason is survived by his wife, of the home Melissa Dinwiddie; three daughters, Shayla, Katrina and Tyanna; his father Jacob Dorrough and wife, Dianne Welch of Bowlegs, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ashley Breed and husband, David of Seminole, Oklahoma and Heather Allen and husband, Joe of Wewoka Oklahoma; grandfather, Charlie Dobson and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Bristow; grandparents, Jacob Ray Dorrough, Betty Jean Dorrough, Bob Porter and Wanda Porter.
