Janice Newcomb

Janice Marie Newcomb, 75, Seminole County resident, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Harrah, Oklahoma. Janice was born December 6, 1939 in Vamoosa, Oklahoma to Othal “Shorty” Reid and Kathleen Scroggins Reid Ownby Janice was a homemaker and active in the Seminole county communities, volunteering as a Pink Lady at Seminole Municipal Hospital and Seminole County Home Extension group “Sunshine Workers”. She loved sewing, crafts and enjoyed fishing with her family. Janice married Joe Glenn Newcomb on March 9, 1957 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Joe preceded her in death on June 17, 2012. Janice is survived by her son Mike Newcomb of Green River, Wyoming and her daughters Jennifer Fogle and her husband Milo of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Janna Newcomb of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Six grandchildren Joshua Fogle, Shilo Fogle, Austin Fogle, Jonathan Newcomb, Kendall Newcomb and Bryce Tucker and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Joe Glenn Newcomb. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, south of Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
