Janice Sue Lewis, 80, longtime Seminole resident, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Janice was born June 24, 1937 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Frank Quency Street and Louise (Fleming) Street. Janice was a longtime active member of the Highway Baptist Church, north of Seminole, Oklahoma, where she was a member of a bible study group. She was a Pink Lady Volunteer at Seminole Medical Center; she read to children at the library and was a secretary during her working career. Janice loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, walking on the old dirt road, feeding her hummingbirds and working in her zinnia flower bed. She married Bill Lewis on May 10, 1954 in Stanfield, Arizona. Janice is survived by her husband Bill Lewis of the home, two daughters Katrina Guinn and her husband Clayton and Sue Walker and her husband Clint all of Seminole, Oklahoma, her sister and best friend Nan Fowler of Seminole, Oklahoma, five grandchildren Kara and Bobby Douthit of Seminole, Oklahoma, Kristen and Jeff Ferguson of South Carolina, Kelly and Zachary Northrip of Seminole, Oklahoma, Angela Moore of Seminole, Oklahoma and Brian Moore of Seminole, Oklahoma and fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Louise Ford and Frank Street, three brothers; Knovis Street, Frankie Street, Gerald Street and one sister; Billie Hughes. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M., Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Highway Baptist Church north of Seminole, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Zachary Northrip, Bobby Douthit, Kenneth Yott, Brian Moore, Jeff Ferguson and Ronnie Krapf. Honorary bearers will be Jace Johnson, Dawson Andrews, Maverick Northrip and Tom Fowler. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
