Janet Kay (Glenn) Walker, 57 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. She was born October 30, 1959 in Seminole to parents George Mickel Glenn and Mary Ann (Chandler) Glenn. Following High School, Janet went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of Bowlegs Assembly of God Church. Janet had worked as a social worker for DHS and was currently working as a receptionist for the Seminole Nation Gaming Department (located in the former Elks Lodge in Seminole). Survivors include her mother, Mary Glenn of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Laci Walker of Seminole, Oklahoma; one son, Tyler Walker of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Kevin Glenn and his wife Stacy Glenn of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Shereata Ellis and her husband Carl Ellis of Seminole, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Michael Walker and Nathaniel Mendinghall both of Seminole, Oklahoma; her former husband and the father of her children, Mike Walker of Newton, Kansas, and by a special friend Andrew Singh of Olathe, Kansas; Janet is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. Janet is preceded in death by her father George Glenn. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Immanuel Fellowship Church located on Hwy 3 North. Pastor Tim Tate will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery located north of Seminole on Hwy 99. Casket Bearers will be: Bailey Glenn, Blake Glenn, Kirby Glenn, Cody Ellis and Clyde Pierce. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
