James Ike Wheeler, 84, longtime Seminole/Earlsboro resident, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his home. James was born January 16, 1930 in Cyril, Oklahoma to Ruby (Burcon) and Alexander Wheeler. James came to the Seminole area 30 years ago from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. James worked for Beard Oil Company as a superintendent for over 30 years. He is survived by his son, Albert Keith Wheeler and his wife Gloria, of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and daughter Patty L. Joyce and her husband Tom of Largo, Florida, one brother Wilburn Wheeler of Anadarko, Oklahoma, four sisters; Lois Loston of Moore, Oklahoma, Dorothy Benton of Lawton, Oklahoma, Vivian Garner and Laverne Riddle both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; five grandchildren Kimberly J. Jones, Shelly D. Sisneroz, Kelly W. Wheeler, Kenneth W. Pound and Tommy J. Wheeler and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with, military honors. Burial will follow at the Cement City Cemetery, Cement, Oklahoma at 2:30 P.M. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
