Longtime Seminole resident James ?Jay? Wesley Ray Taylor passed away on Wednesday, November 08, 2006 at the age of 81 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.rnrnHe was born on March 27, 1925 in Seminole, Oklahoma to James Cecil and Clara (Markwell) Taylor. He married Faye (Galpin) Taylor in August of 1945, she preceded him in death in 1978.rnrnHe was a ranch foreman in California for 20 years and was currently working with Experience Works in Seminole where he did maintenance and custodial work. He was a member of the Oddfellows and the Rebecca?s lodge of Wewoka for many years.rnrnHe is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Cecil and Sharry of Visalia, California and Leroy and Linda Taylor of Hanford, California, two brothers and sisters-in-law: James and Jimmie Taylor of Seminole and Clifton and Phallis of Wewoka, Oklahoma, five sisters: Susie and husband Gene Brittain of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Betty Galpin of Bakersfield, California, Margie Wright of West Point, California, Eva Lou Goodman of Mims, Florida, and Eunice Hensley of Las Vegas, Nevada. Four grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive him. rnrnHe is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Alvin Taylor, and one granddaughter, Tammy Taylor.rnrnGraveside services are scheduled for 10:30am, on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma.rn Funeral Information: November 10, 2006, 10:30 AM
