James Wesley Mullen, 76 year old Konawa, Oklahoma resident, passed away August 12, 2018 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born April 22, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Roland Wesley Mullen and Bertha Marie (Pixley) Mullen. James married Georgia Richards on May 20, 1960 in Wolf, Oklahoma, and sadly she passed away December 16, 2008. Before he retired, James worked in a sawmill and also worked as a derrick hand on oil well drilling rigs. James is survived by sons; Wesley Mullen of Duncan, Oklahoma, Curtis Mullen and his wife Tina of Maud, Oklahoma, Michael Mullen and his wife Carrie of Bowlegs, Oklahoma and Timmie Mullen of Shawnee, Oklahoma, daughters; Michelle Mullen and Dedra Mullen, sisters; Cybil Broadwater and Pauline Kessinger, twenty two grandchildren; James R. Mullen, Jennifer Mullen, Kevin Mullen, Destinie Mullen, Emily Mullen, Jason Mullen, Ashlee Mullen, Dustin Mullen, Chad Mullen, Mariah, Conner Cox, Kyliegh Cox, Kelsie, Amanda Splawn, Dewayen Blake, Tabatha Woods, Russel Woods, Jr., Cameron Daubert, Devin Daubert, Kaylee Daubert, Starlett Daubert and Jerry Daubert, and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceding James in death were his parents, his wife, granddaughter Jayslee Mullen and great granddaughter Jayden De Ann Gayle. Services for James will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Wood officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Cemetery in Wolf, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Ed Bruno, Hershal Putman, Bryan Hause, Mickey Demings, Rickey Demings and Connor Cox. Honorary bearer will be Les Cogburn.
