James Daniel McMillan, age sixty-four and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Monday, August 3, 2015. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Konawa 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Rev. Jim McMillan will officiate, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. James was born on December 15, 1950 in Harrah, Oklahoma to James Moman McMillan and Norma Lou (Wilson) McMillan. He married Joyce Ann (Smith) on June 15, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. James was a maintenance foreman for Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad for many years until his retirement. He earned several awards while he was with the company. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1974 through 1975. He is survived by his wife, Joyce McMillan of the home; mother, Norma Lou McMillan of Macomb, Oklahoma; six sons, Tony Pack of Sanger, Texas, Rev. Jim McMillan of Konawa, Jerry Pack of Konawa, Mike McMillan of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Shane McMillan of Norman, Oklahoma, and Chris Pack of Sulphur, Oklahoma; one daughter, Deliliah Hensely of Norman; two brothers, Kevin McMillan of Oklahoma City and John McMillan of Oklahoma City; one sister, Kathy Thompson of Elmore City, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
