Graveside services for former Seminole resident, James Alfred Lemons are scheduled for 11:00am, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Little Cemetery with George H. Lemons to officiate.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home. A flag ceremony will be preformed by the U.S. Military.rnrnLemons passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at his home in McQueeney. He was born January 21, 1936 to Edmond and Rachel Ann (Gregory) Lemons of Seminole.rnrnJim was a graduate of Seminole High School in 1953 and received his BS degree in Mathematics and Physics at East Central University in 1960 after having served in the Army in Baumholder Germany from 1954 - 1956.rnrnHe was employed by Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville from 1960-1962 and then worked for General Dynamics in San Diego where he was involved with the Venus Probe and Mariner 4 to Mars projects. Jim also worked for RCA in Thule, Greenland for two years on the BMEWS (ballistic early warning system) project. He re-joined Phillips Petroleum in 1966 until his retirement in 1988.rnrnJim was recently inducted into the Seminole Athletic Hall of Fame in the area of Football.rnHe was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, A.J., Earl, and Merrel.rnrnSurviving is his wife of twenty-six years, Cynthia Gay Lemons, Nee Winkler, of McQeeney, TX; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Michael Lemons of Carlsbad, CA and Timothy Lemons and wfie An of Mesa, AZ; and one brother, George H.
