James Holt

James Earl Holt, 61 year-old, Seminole County resident and former Shawnee and Tishomingo resident passed from this life Monday, November 29, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born November 20, 1949 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to parents Samuel Dorwin Holt, Sr. and Earlene (McKinley) Holt. James was a self-employed real estate agent who owned and operated Homestake Real-Estate in Eufaula, Oklahoma. James married Virginia Ann “Ginger” Fairman on August 14, 1990 in Sherman, Texas. James leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 20 years, Virginia “Ginger” Holt of the home; his mother, Earlene McKinley Holt of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Clint and April Dawkins of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Roger Johnston of Millcreek, Oklahoma, Jamie and John Chaney of Byng, Oklahoma, Tammi and Kendall Putman of Millcreek, Oklahoma and Joey and Jimmy Garner of Seminole, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Peggy Holt of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Samuel Holt, Jr. and his wife Susan of Tishomingo, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. James was preceded in death by his father Samuel D. Holt, Sr. and by four grandchildren, Jonice, Laura, Johnathan and William. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Mr. Holt’s son, Rev. Clint Dawkins will officiate the service.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be: Cody Grass, Bryan Chaney, John Johnston, Christopher Wayeright, Jorge Luna and Roger Johnston.
