James Crawford

James L. Crawford, 81 year-old longtime Seminole resident passed from this life Monday evening at his home in Seminole. He was born July 12, 1926 in Ranger, Texas to parents Homer David "Bob" Crawford and Myrtle Lee (Hall) Crawford.rnrnJames graduated from Seminole High School in 1947 and enlisted in the United States Navy. While in the U.S. Navy he earned the rank of Seaman Second Class V-6. He was also honored with the Point System Medal, the Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal.rnrnJames married Donna Rose (Smart) Crawford on November 23, 1949 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He worked as a gauger for Koch Oil Company for 34 years.rnrnJames leaves to cherish his memory his wife of almost 58 years, Donna Crawford of the home.rnrnThree daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Mary Crawford of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Jamie Lynn and Ken Clement of Colbert, Washington and Terri Ann and Jim Hudson of Moore, Oklahoma.rnrnOne son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Tina Crawford of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnOne sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Ralph Pippin of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnSeven grandchildren: Gail Cherie West of Santa Ana, California; Lisa Elaine Kuhns of Norman, Oklahoma; Brian Kyle Bennett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Kaleigh Rene Clement of Colbert, Washington; Teryn Elizabeth Clement of Colbert, Washington; Phillip "Clay" Crawford of Seminole, Oklahoma and Kelsey Sue Crawford of Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnThree great-grandchildren: Cody Paul Kuhns of Norman, Oklahoma; Kylie Brooke Bennett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kolton Charles Bennett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Historic Strothers Chapel located in the center of Maple Grove Cemetery.
